(Batu Pahat, 25th) 22 men and women, including 3 minors, were brought to court by the police today to apply for remand to assist in the investigation for allegedly defrauding foreigners by offering non-existent job opportunities.

Batu Pahat Magistrate’s Court Magistrate Norasidah allowed the police to remand the 22 suspects for two days under Section 420 of the Penal Code (cheating).

The 22 suspects, aged between 16 and 35, including two underage girls, were brought to the Batu Pahat Magistrate’s Court by the police at around 2pm today to apply for remand.
