One of the injured from Sabah who did not want to be named said that he did not know the driver and the deceased. He was a friend of another passenger in the back seat. The friend said he was going to Ipoh for breakfast, so he followed his friend to Ipoh.
The injured were treated as outpatients and left the hospital accompanied by their uncle.
He said in front of the emergency department of Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital in Ipoh on Saturday that the driver and another passenger in the back seat were conscious and were waiting for medical reports.
He also said that he started studying at UTAR Sungai Long in October last year, and his friend enrolled a semester earlier than him.
In addition, the uncle of the injured man rushed to Ipoh from Tanjong Malim, Perak to understand his nephew's situation after receiving a call from his brother in Sabah, and said he did not know why his nephew came to Ipoh.
