The fund will distribute RM1 million to 333 students this year, bringing the total amount distributed in 2021, 2024 and 2025 to RM3 million.
Carlsberg Malaysia Group issued a statement today that the group and Huazong hope to promote education development through the above fund and strive to reduce the financial burden faced by young people in the process of pursuing higher education.

The funds have been distributed to the students through the Chinese Associations in various states nationwide, including 73 in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, 27 in Penang, 27 in Perak, 25 in Johor, 24 in Sarawak, 22 in Malacca, 22 in Negeri Sembilan, 21 in Kedah, 21 in Pahang, 21 in Kelantan, 21 in Terengganu, 21 in Sabah and 8 in Perlis.
The group's director of corporate affairs and sustainability, Lai Yizhu, pointed out that the fund has evolved from interest-free student loans to scholarships since 2021.
Huazong's president, Tan Sri Goh Tien Chuan, believes that education is a powerful way to achieve social transformation, and Huazong and Carlsberg Malaysia are working together to pave a future path that will not leave any student behind.
Keltina (transliteration) from the University of Sarawak is a beneficiary of the aforementioned fund. She said that this education fund is an affirmation and encouragement for her, motivating her to pursue her goals with greater determination, continuously improve her professional abilities, and bring positive impact to society.
Another beneficiary student, Angelica Tan, from the Kuching Polytechnic in Sarawak, said that receiving the fund reminded her that opportunities are real as long as she keeps working hard.
Hua Zong Deputy President Datuk Lim Kah Chuan also attended the event.
